Denton County Rotary Clubs are raising funds for Denton County Residents who have been impacted from the recent Covid-19 Stay-At-Home Order. 100% of the money we receive will go back to residents of Denton County effected by Covid-19. Applications can be submitted either individually or through a nomination.
Rotary is about “Service above self”. What does that really mean? Rotary is a service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. With 33,000 clubs and 1.2 million Rotarians in over 200 countries Rotary is all about making a difference. The beauty of Rotary is that as individual clubs we can determine the needs of our own communities.
Several Denton County Rotary Clubs have decided to join together to focus on the immediate needs at hand. This effort is for people who have suddenly found themselves out of work to no fault of their own because of Covid-19. Since Rotary is all volunteer, we have no overhead costs. It is imperative the community understands that 100% of the money we receive will help residents of Denton County. Our goal is to contribute $500-$1000 to each approved requestor/nomination to assist residents with their rent or utility bills.
We want to give a huge thank you to Interfaith Ministries of Denton with helping us by allowing us to use their 501C3 as well as assisting in leg work of the applications, donations, and getting money to the residents.
