About Our Club
Our Location

The Rotary Club of  Flower Mound is part of Rotary District 5790, an area that covers  the Texas North Central Plains area and is currently composed of 69 clubs. Flower Mound is located northwest of Dallas and northeast of Fort Worth adjacent to Grapevine Lake. The town derives its name from a prominent 12.5-acre mound located in the center of town. The population is just over 66,000. Flower Mound has used a smart growth system for urban planning, and has recently experienced more rapid light industrial growth to match the growing needs of our primarily residential community. In 2012, Flower Mound was ranked at #8 as one of the Best Dallas Suburbs according to D Magazine.

Meeting Details

Our typical meeting starts with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a brief business meeting. Most of our regular club meetings feature a guest speaker.  Some meeting have no guest speaker but instead are devoted to upcoming events or are 'club assemblies' which are used to engage the Board, Committees and other members. At the conclusion of our meetings, we recite the Rotary Four-Way Test.  The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships and states that -

"Of the things we think, say or do -

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
